Sapphire

A highly valued member of the corundum species. Sapphires are any color of corundum other then red (ruby). Unless otherwise noted the color of a sapphire is blue, when is is another color the hue precedes sapphire (pink sapphire, purple sapphire, etc.).

Ruby

Ruby is the red form of the mineral species corundum. Rubies symbolize beauty, charity, love, passion, power, and royalty.

Emerald

Emerald is a member of the beryl species of minerals and has a vivid green hue. The color of most emeralds is caused by trace amounts of chromium in the atomic structure. Colombia has been a major source for emeralds for centuries, but emeralds have also been found in Brazil, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Emerald is the birthstone for the month of May and is traditionally the gemstone used for twentieth and thirty-fifth wedding anniversaries.

Amethyst


This type of quartz is found in shades of purple ranging from light lavender to deep, intense purple with subtle flashes of red helps to draw your attention beyond the mind to the realm of pure spiritual knowledge. Amethyst is the birthstone for February. It is also the 6th anniversary gemstone.
